Kalispell Hotel Seasonal Laundry Attendant $18 per hour in Kalispell, Montana

Job Description Summary

The Laundry Attendant (LA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to work in the commercial laundry facility. The LA's responsibilities include cleaning and storing linens in a timely, organized manner to ensure that hotel's laundry and linen needs are met. The LA may be scheduled to clean guest rooms and public space areas in accordance with time, product and placement standards to ensure total guest satisfaction.

Job Description

Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include:
Key Job Functions
Must provide and maintain a clean and sanitary laundry product for guests.
Must maintain the cleanliness of all equipment properly and report any equipment concerns or problems.
Load articles into washer and add specified amount of detergent, soap or other cleaning agent by programming laundry machines.
Operates laundry machinery such as washers, driers, and ironers.
Starts machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into driers for measured time cycles.
Sorts dried articles according to type.
Folds and places items in appropriate storage area.
Sorts torn and stained articles.
Sorts and counts articles to verify quantities on laundry requisitions.
Soaks contaminated articles and processes in de-staining cycle.
Cleans lint traps and sweeps laundry room.
Attend department meetings as required.
Complete other duties/tasks as assigned by manager or supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1-2 Years of housekeeping experience preferred
Hotel experience preferred
Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates.
