Opportunity Bank of Montana is adding to our outstanding team with a Loan Servicing Specialist III. This position will focus on commercial and consumer loan related tasks. As our Loan Servicing Specialist, you will be responsible for performing and monitoring loan servicing functions related to boarding and servicing commercial, consumer, and agriculture loans.

  • Perform and monitor loan servicing functions including new loan setup; customer service; document control; lien releases; qualified assumptions; new loan setup; year-end reporting, bought participations, participation loans, policy /procedure development; and audit coordination.

  • Performs all duties of Loan Servicing Specialist III.

  • Board and maintain the participation portfolio by making necessary entries, completing wire transfers, reconciliation, and developing good working relationships with participants.

  • Train, learn and understand commercial and agriculture participation guidelines.

  • Train, direct and develop loan servicing

  • Manage Commercial/Consumer/Ag loan set up as well as all file maintenance and renewal/modification functions.

  • Assist Loan Servicing Operations Manager with coordinating flow of information between loan servicing areas and lending teams along with internal finance department.

  • Ensure all compliance procedures are being followed.

  • Assist in the creation and modification of department

  • Coordinate with lending staff to ensure accurate boarding of loans and effective loan maintenance.

  • Ensure participation payments are processed correctly and in a timely manner.

  • Ensure investor reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Ensure payments from clients and all loan-related transactions are posted timely and accurately.

  • Be familiar with all Commercial/Consumer/Ag functions performed in the loan servicing department.

  • Assess and/or assist with problem resolution with loan servicing vendors and staff.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong knowledge of consumer/commercial/ag loan servicing related systems, software and providers, regulatory and compliance requirements and current related issues, and investor requirements and regulations

Education and Experience Preferences

4-year college degree (accounting, business, finance, management or related) & 2 years relevant experience - or equivalent combination of education & experience
