Opportunity Bank of Montana is adding to our outstanding team with a Loan Servicing Specialist III. This position will focus on Home Loan Division related tasks. As our Loan Servicing Specialist, you will be responsible for performing and monitoring loan servicing functions related to boarding and servicing home loans:
Prepare and submit reports to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, through our third-party vendor, adhering to Fannie Mae guidelines and requirements.
Compile and analyze loan data submission to Freddie Mac, through our third-party vendor, ensuring compliance with Freddie Mac's reporting standards and deadlines.
Monitor loan performance metrics, delinquency rates, and other key indicators.
Collaborate with internal teams to reconcile data discrepancies and resolve any reporting issues promptly.
Provide accurate and complete principal and interest data for each loan in the portfolio, utilizing the loan custodial module, by the principal and interest determination date.
Ensure all Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae payments are remitted accurately and within investor timelines.
Ensure monthly reconcilement of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae is completed in a timely manner, according to each investor's
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual investor reports.
Stay informed about changes in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines.
Assist with mortgage loan recasts .
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong knowledge of mortgage loan servicing related systems, software and providers, regulatory and compliance requirements and current related issues, and investor requirements and regulations
Education and Experience Preferences
4-year college degree (accounting, business, finance, management or related) & 2 years relevant experience - or equivalent combination of education & experience
Experience in mortgage servicing and investor reporting
Knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines and reporting requirements
