Quaking Aspen Ranch, LLC Lodge Operations Associate - Fly Fishing in Absarokee, Montana
Assist in all areas of lodge operations including guest services, housekeeping, kitchen/meal service operations, grounds keeping, facilities maintenance, supplies inventory. Assist with fishing guide assignment including ensuring successful daily client departure with fishing guides.Assist with fly fishing equipment including preparation and fitting thereof, maintenance, inventory taking of fishing equipment.Fishing Operations:• Ensure that all client gear and equipment is prepared appropriately according to client’s sizes.• Ensure gear is in clean and usable condition each day and at the end of the stay.• Maintain an appropriate inventory of current gear and equipment.• Assign guides to clients each day.• Manage the daily launch of clients with their respective guide. Lodge Facilities:• Ensure that all lodging facilities are in top condition and full working order. Use provided manuals to make sure all details are covered.• Ensure that all housekeeping standards are met or exceeded according to company guidelines.Dining Operations:• Ensure that food and dining service meets or exceeds quality standards and provides consistently great food, service and presentation.• Prepare packed lunches for clients.• Set up, clean up and preparation for meals.• Complete inventory, ideally on a weekly basis, but no less than once per month.Grounds Keeping:• Keep the limited lawn areas green, clean and mowed.• Maintain irrigation and drainage systems including a drip irrigation system,• Keep everything properly watered.Guest Extras:• Write personal thank you cards to all guests.• Encourage guests to complete online reviews such as on Google, Trip Advisor, etc.• Be familiar with the local area trails and things to see and do in order to answer guest questions and direct them to places and activities of interest.General & Administrative:• Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.• Prepare all required paperwork, including financial reports, payroll, forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.• Responsible for operating the lodge in a way that minimizes energy consumption including electricity and propane and monitoring monthly usage carefully.• Embrace our “responsible business” ethics and run the resort in as environmentally responsible a manner as possible including reducing, reusing and recycling.• Embrace our values around inclusion and diversity.• Maintain excellent relationship with Lodge suppliers and outside maintenance personnel.• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. No education required.Wage Information: Rate of Pay: $27.85/hr; Overtime wages, if applicable: $41.78/hr Frequency of pay: Bi-weekly. Bonus does not apply. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. Employer Provided Items: The employer will provide workers at no charge or deposit charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned. The anticipated period of employment will last 120 days or more. The employer guarantees to offer work for a total number of hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12 week period of the total employment period. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees.) Transportation and Subsistence Benefits Transportation for H-2B Visa workers and non commuting United States Domestic Workers (citizens and holders of visas that allow work in the U.S.), including meals and lodging to the extent necessary, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Board, Lodging or Fringe Benefits Employer does not provide workers daily board (food). Workers are responsible for obtaining and preparing their own food. Optional lodging available (employee paid).
