Arlee Community Development Corporation Non-Profit Program Manager in Arlee, Montana

Job Overview: The Non-Profit Program Manager will lead and coordinate various Food Sovereignty and Food Resource Center initiatives which will account for 70% of their role, and oversee Arts and Culture programming at Arlee CDC, accounting for 20%. The last 10% of program management will be supporting the development of programming in collaboration with the USDA Forest Service. The role involves strategic planning, program management including recruitment and supervision of staff, stakeholder collaboration, and the development of sustainable income-generating strategies.Key Responsibilities:Food Sovereignty Programming (70%):1. Program Coordination and Management: - Oversee the management and operations of the Arlee Food Resource Center and Garden for Life initiatives. - Manage and support Contracted services, the Program Coordinators for the Arlee Food Pantry and Garden for Life.2. Strategic Development: - Collaborate with the Food Sovereignty Committee and the Executive Director developing strategies and implement strategic plans for Food Sovereignty programing. - Develop and oversee the operation of a commercial kitchen, including the creation of products for an earned income strategy.3. Stakeholder Engagement: - Liaise with community members, tribal partners, and other stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and community impact.4. Budget and Resource Management: - Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation for Food Sovereignty programs. - Develop funding proposals and manage grant compliance and reporting.Arts and Culture Programming (20%):1. Program Planning and Development: - Coordinate and manage programming for the Art Gallery, including exhibitions and shows.-- Develop earned income from art and locally produced product sales through Gallery. - Develop and manage relationships with contractors and partners to implement Arts and Culture initiatives, including but not limited to youth programming.2. Community Engagement: - Engage with local artists and community groups to enhance cultural programming and community participation. - Promote Arts and Culture programming to increase visibility and community involvement.3. Administrative Oversight: - Ensure program activities comply with organizational policies, grant requirements, and strategic goals. - Develop and manage budgets for Arts and Culture programs.Youth Leadership Programming (10%):1. Program Planning and Development: - Coordinate programming in collaboration with contractors and Executive Director specific to youth engagement, leadership development, and skills development. - Develop and manage relationships with contractors and partners to implement Youth Leadership Programming.2. Community Engagement: - Engage with schools, CSKT MSU Extension, and other youth organizations or groups to enhance programming and community participation. - Promote Youth Leadership programming to increase visibility and community involvement.3. Administrative Oversight: - Ensure program activities comply with organizational policies, grant requirements, and strategic goals. - Develop and manage budgets in collaboration with Executive Director and contractors specific to Youth Leadership Programming.Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Food Sovereignty Program Management:Knowledge: - Deep understanding of Food Sovereignty principles, food safety, product development, staff development in a commercial kitchen, community development, and sustainable agriculture. - Familiarity with indigenous and tribal food systems and cultural practices.Skills: - Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and teams. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.Abilities: - Ability to develop plans and implement programs that align with organizational goals. - Capability to innovate and develop sustainable income-generating strategies.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Arts and Culture Program Management:Knowledge: - Understanding of Arts and Culture programming, event planning, and community engagement. - Familiarity with indigenous arts, culture, and heritage.Skills: - Strong project management skills, with experience in coordinating and implementing arts programs. - Ability to work collaboratively with artists, contractors, and community organizations.Abilities: - Ability to foster an inclusive environment that encourages creativity and cultural expression. - Capacity to develop and manage program budgets and resources effectively.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Youth Leadership Program Management: - Knowledge: - Knowledge of Youth and Leadership programming specific to students ages 8-18.
