A&P Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team responsible for the maintenance and repair of the CL-215 firefighting fleet aircraft. This role is based at our fleet base hangar, where you will use WinAir maintenance tracking software, consult repair manuals, blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings. You will select tools and perform repairs on engines, props, and other systems and components. Your primary goal is to ensure the fleet is well-maintained, even while some of the mechanic team is deployed on firefighting contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair CL-215 firefighting fleet aircraft.

  • Use WinAir maintenance tracking software.

  • Consult repair manuals, blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.

  • Select appropriate tools and perform necessary repairs on engines, props, and other systems and components.

  • Ensure the fleet is maintained while some team members are out in the field on firefighting contracts.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience.

  • A&P license.

  • Experience in repair and troubleshooting.

  • Experience in heavy maintenance, line maintenance, and C checks.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Eligible for safety-sensitive hire.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with overwing prop aircraft maintenance (e.g., Dash-8/Q400, ATR's, CL-215/CL-415).

Work Environment

This position requires working 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday, for 10 hours a day, through June 2025. All necessary tools will be provided, ensuring you have everything you need to perform your duties efficiently.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
