Big Sky R-Control CNC Machine Operator in Belgrade, Montana

Big Sky Insulations, a manufacturer of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), is seeking a Production CNC Machine Operator to serve our Belgrade, Montana location.

As part of the Production Team, you will manufacture R-Control SIPS building systems (structural insulated panels) used in residential and commercial construction projects.

Our CNC Operators are responsible for managing our precision cutting equipment by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping record, and maintaining equipment / supplies.

Key Responsibilities: • Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). • Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position. • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to established product quality control standards. • Maintains specifications by observing cutting and verifying measurements • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications: • Previous experience in a production/manufacturing CNC/Operator role • Ability to read and understand raw material and product packaging, manufacturing documents, and safety guidelines • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Efficient individual with excellent time management skills, and completing repetitive tasks • Must be able to speak and understand English • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 8 + hours per day • Minimum education requirements: High School diploma or equivalent k,6+

Pay & Benefits: Roles start at $18-$22/hr. DOE, plus benefits.
