Bozeman Health Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant- FT (North 19th Lab/Big Sky Medical Center/Belgrade Clinic Lab)- FT in Belgrade, Montana
This is a full time 0.9 FTE Lab Assistant Phlebotomist position for Bozeman Health N 19th Avenue, Belgrade Clinic, and Big Sky Medical Center Labs.
Position Summary:
The Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant processes and collects all types of clinical specimens, to include centrifugation and distribution to the appropriate area. Assesses specimens for quality and appropriateness during the pre-analytical process and prepares samples appropriately for loading on analyzers. They may receive more training in some specific areas in order to accommodate specific job assignments. This is a casual call float position for Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant at the North 19th/Big Sky Medical Center/Belgrade Urgent Care Labs. Hours worked at Big Sky Medical Center are eligible for a $7/hour Big Sky shift differential.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred: Medical experience
Essential Job Functions:
Phlebotomy and specimen collection.
Handles, processes and distributes lab specimens
Processes send-out orders and packages for shipment
Monitors send-out pending lists and reconciles against specimens
Provides customer service
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Computer applications, MS Office, EMR, internet applications and standard office equipment
Detail oriented, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity and maintains confidentiality
Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal and teamwork skills
