The Club Communications Manager provides a key role in establishing high quality communications for all members and associates. This position will ensure that communication and messaging efforts are timely, clear, concise and effective in keeping all well-informed about Club activities, events, and property updates. The Club Communications Manager will work in sync with our Member Services Director, Marketing, and Club Concierge team to create content for print and digital to effectively communicate events and updates to club members. Key role in establishing deadlines for specific area communications as well as crafting articles and gathering relevant news and updates. Fostering a sense of awareness for the entire Club team through targeted and specific communication efforts internally, as well as externally to members.


Job duties for this position include; although are not limited to:

  • Create and maintain a seamless, clean, and clear communication strategy that connects with Spanish Peaks Mountain Club members and compliments the SPMC marketing plan

  • Actively participate in property wide review of communications content to ensure accuracy, high quality writing, and clear messaging

  • Facilitate the consistency and branding of the annual member calendar that includes all member/guest events across all departments on property and distribute to all departments.

  • Maintain and update the active calendars on the website and member app, and ensure its accuracy with all other print and digital communications

  • Manage group lists on website and app for frequent Club-centric communications and create templates for consistent messaging

  • Respond and catalog the feedback from the member inbox and create reports of trends in comments and requests

  • Collaborate with Special Events team on holiday, special and member-focused event marketing and provide additional support to Concierge for clean marketing and promotion.

  • Monitor the member website and app. Update all areas on a consistent basis with departmental representatives including menus, calendars, staff listings, banners, photos and anything else to enhance the user-experience, and ensure content is up to date, accurate, and complete.

  • Ensure that Member Directory is user-friendly, robust and easily accessible. Ensure functionality of all website and app reservation systems in conjunction with Membership Services team.

  • Assist Membership Manager in gathering information for the member preference database and assist with communication of preferences across the property including restaurants, recreation, kids programs, retail and guest services.

  • Maintain Club newsletter content on a bi-weekly basis to promote SPMC marketing.

  • Coordinate and execute photography for various locations including photo editing and organization.

  • Assist with videography and video editing to create custom marketing collateral for various areas.

  • Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned by the Director of Member Services or GM.


  • Experience with photography, videography and editing for both mediums

  • Expertise in graphic design and all applicable software including all Adobe Creative Suite programs

  • Exceptional writing, creative writing and editing experience

  • Experience with social media, mobile applications, website management, and digital marketing preferred

  • 3+ years of work in marketing collateral, website management and management of print publications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, graphic design, journalism or other relevant area and/or 3-5 years’ experience in marketing/communications, preferably in a club environment

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Outlook

  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, support departments, and members through excellent interpersonal skills

  • Professional and personable demeanor


Ability to work late hours and weekends as required to meet deadlines. Hearing and speaking to exchange information. Seeing to read a variety of materials. Sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Ability to carry up to 25 lbs. (computer, reams of paper, files, etc.). Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by Club environmental systems. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity; Talking and listening occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates; Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line touch-tone phone, filing cabinets, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed.
