Bozeman Health Nurse Manager- Big Sky (FT- 1 fte) in Big Sky, Montana

Position Summary:

The Nurse Manager – Hospital works in partnership with leaders in planning, directing, organizing, monitoring and staffing the department subject to policies, budgets, objectives and directives mandated by regulatory agencies, DNV and the hospital administrative team. This position develops and implements patient care policies that are based on evidence and/or best practice standards and comply with regulatory requirements. As new nursing knowledge and innovations in practice advance, leads their application into practice and ensures standardized implementation across the department by working closely and in collaboration with other department nurse leaders and educators.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

  • Current Montana RN Licensure

  • American Heart Association BLS

  • American Heart Association ACLS

  • American Heart Association PALS required within one year

  • Current patient care experience in the hospital setting

  • Preferred: Master’s in Nursing or a health care related field

  • Preferred: Certification in Nursing Leadership (AONE or ANCC)

  • Preferred: Leadership experience in hospital nursing

Essential Job Functions:

  • Directs broad operations of assigned department to ensure the provision of comprehensive services in compliance with all regulatory agencies and hospital requirements.

  • Ensures a collaborative departmental approach to operational planning, care/service design and development of organizational policies, which reflect the mission of the organization.

  • Coordinates and assists with oversight of departmental services. Continuously assesses, measures and improves departmental performance.

  • Demonstrates responsible management of all departmental resources.

  • Demonstrates clinical/technical and managerial competency.

  • Leads, teaches, inspires, helps and consistently demonstrates hospital behavioral standards

  • Demonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
