Northwest Farm Credit Services, ACA 2025 Summer Internship Program in Billings, Montana

AgWest Farm Credit is actively recruiting current college students who are interested in exploring a career in the financial services industry. Our internship program is designed to provide a realistic job preview and insights to the career opportunities and potential that exists at AgWest, primarily in the areas of credit/lending, crop insurance, and appraisal. Interns are assigned a designated coach, an individual project, and a formal learning guide, exposing them to a variety of positions and areas of our business.

As a member-owned financial cooperative, we help business owners in agriculture, forestry and fisheries secure the financing they need to operate and grow, and the crop insurance they need to protect their livelihoods. Our customers are primarily located in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Nevada, Arizona and California.

Compensation Information

$20.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications for AgWest's Internship Program:

  • Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, ag economics, ag business, or related field.
  • Preference for Juniors (expected graduation in 2026).
  • Coursework related to at least one of the following: ag business, finance, accounting, economics, farm and ranch management, business management, marketing, and related courses.
  • Strong communication, analytical and computer skills, and teamwork demonstrated through involvement in extracurricular activities and / or outside work experience.
  • Completion of the online job application which includes providing an up-to-date resume and transcripts (unofficial are okay). Cover letters are recommended though not required.
  • An agricultural background is desirable, but not a requirement.

Summer 2025 Internship Locations

  • Nampa, Idaho Falls, and Twin Falls, Idaho
  • Billings, Great Falls, and Havre, Montana
  • Salem and Pendleton, Oregon
  • Spokane, Moses Lake, or Sunnyside, Washington

Interviews will take place October through November 2024. AgWest internships are full-time and generally last from approximately June through early/mid-August. Interns who need to secure temporary housing (due to the location of their internship) will receive an additional housing stipend. We offer a fun atmosphere, many learning opportunities, and have a jean/appropriate casual company dress code.
