CITY OF BILLINGS ADULT BASKETBALL SCOREKEEPER in BILLINGS, Montana
Adult Basketball Scorekeeper / Clock Operator - $13.00 to $15.00 per hour - Fifteen (15) Positions Available. As a City of Billings Parks, Recreation and Public Lands Sports Scorekeeper you will serve the department's sports programs by providing scorekeeping duties during select activities. Applicant must be familiar with the rules and bylaws of the respective sport and have the ability to operate timing devices and/or the official scorebook for the designated sport. You must have the ability to quickly evaluate information and make decisions and judgment calls. Applicant must be able to resolve conflicts and stay calm while handling disputes. Applicants must work well with children and adults. Schedule: Games are on Monday through Thursday, 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and Sunday from 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. with 2 to 3 games per night. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Professional behavior before and after sporting events. - Operate scoreboard and/or timing device for designated sport. - Perform routine clerical and technical work keeping score sheets and/or time clock. - Communicate with coaches and umpires/referees. Requirements: - Enjoy working in activities. - Professional, confident, and capable of dealing with players, parents, officials, and fans. - Pass background check and pre-employment drug test. - Reliable transportation to and from games and training. - Must meet minimum age requirements.
