Humana Associate Director, Technology Solutions in Billings, Montana



Job Description

Seeking an experienced and motivated leader to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Technology Solutions to as a liaison and collaborates with the business and functional stakeholders to identify and deliver strategic enablement solutions. Decisions are typically related to identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within department(s), and could lead multiple managers or highly specialized professional associates.


  • Works closely with business partners and other IT teams in delivering a robust product

  • Involves in discussions to drive architecture and stay with the product till completion

  • Leads a team of individual contributors (Architects, Developers and Scrum masters); responsible for allocation of resources and team growth/development

  • Develops and executes Operational plans; ensuring that technology priorities are aligned with Business strategy, product delivery teams have a clear line of sight to strategy / priorities.

  • Management of vendor resources including budgeting, onboarding, access approval, various training, etc.

  • Reports to a Director in Clinical IT organization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or similar field of study

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

  • 8-10 years of full SDLC experience

  • Experience with technology solutions assessments, effort/timeline estimates, and/or strategy planning oversight

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across varying levels of personnel

  • 2 or more years proven experience leading highly effective teams

  • Solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies

  • Deliver presentations when needed to the team or to leaders

  • Communicate with key stake holders on important milestones. Proactively identify and take steps to remove roadblocks and bottlenecks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree

  • Healthcare industry experience

  • Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud or Mulesoft
