Intermountain Health Behavioral Health Counselor in Billings, Montana
Job Description:
In this position, the Behavioral Health Counselor provides a wide variety of psychotherapeutic services for common mental and emotional difficulties.
Provides comprehensive intake examinations and mental health assessments and determines accurate DSM V multiaxial diagnosis based on clinical information.
Provides Mental Health services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, using a variety of treatment approaches and tools.
Makes appropriate referrals for patients needing services outside the scope of BHA.
Maintain a professional environment to conduct onsite/virtual patient interaction
Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.

Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in social work or licensed clinical professional counselor or related field is required.
Current Montana Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Montana Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire is preferred.
Two (2) years post licensure experience.

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
Frequent interactions with customers that require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$25.73 - $45.71
