SCL Health Behavioral Health Specialist - Internal Medicine in Billings, Montana

Job Description:

This position is responsible to coordinate the community resources program available to behavioral health patients and community members. This position will also assist patients referred from Behavioral Health, the Emergency Department, and other units along with the community on how to access available mental health resources in their area. The Behavioral Health Navigation Coordinator will assist the Manager in hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluating team members. They will also be responsible to monitor the quality and data collection to identify improvement opportunities and solutions.

Scope1.Provides comprehensive intake examinations and behavioral health assessments, anddetermines accurate DSM-5/ICD-10 diagnoses based on clinical information.
2. Provides behavioral health services to individuals, couples, families and groups, using a variety of treatment approaches and tools.
3. Makes appropriate referrals for patients needing services outside the scope of the immediacy of primary care.
4. Maintains complete and timely clinical records on all clients.
5. Provides consultation to other staff members as requested and participates in staffing of cases.
6. Provides consultation and education services to individuals, agencies, institutions and groups as assigned.
7. Participates in staff training and attends staff meetings.
8. Responsible for the review of client files to assess dangerousness and violence evaluation of family violence referrals.
9. Responsible for making referrals to a variety of social services and medical resources as needed.
10. Participates in the screening process of new referrals to the department as needed.
11. Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsRequired
Masters degree in Social Work is required
Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire is required
Two (2) years clinical experience in related field is requiredPreferred

- Current LCSW in the State of Montana; for the MSW candidate the ability to obtain SWLC within3 months of hire

5. Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to learn new applications relevant to the position.
6. The ability to develop MSW staff toward licensure requirements is also a requirement.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$25.73 - $45.71
