We are seeking a talented full-time Construction Technician with drywall experience to join our team in Billings, MT. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:-Executing a wide range of carpentry tasks, including constructing, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures and furniture within our commercial properties.-Installing drywall, insulation, ceiling grid and acoustical ceiling tile.-Performing work related to taping, texturing, patchwork, painting/staining, and hanging vinyl wallcoverings.-Performing interior demolition work for commercial office buildings.-Installing and maintaining doors/frames, partitions, studs, shelving, cabinetry and other carpentry elements.-Installing fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, and closures.-Repairing and refinishing furniture, floors, and other woodwork as needed.-Collaborating with the maintenance team and other contractors to ensure timely completion of projects.-Ensuring all carpentry work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.-Assisting in the sourcing, planning and estimation of material requirements timelines and daily work plans for project completion.-Developing and maintaining congenial and professional business relationships with tenants, suppliers, and other construction professionals and subcontractors.You’re a great fit for this job if you have:-High school diploma or equivalent.-Additional certification or vocational training in carpentry is a plus.-At least 3 years’ experience as a Construction Technician, preferably in a commercial setting.-At least 3 years of experience with drywall, patchwork, taping, and texturing.-Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to carpentry work.-Sound knowledge of carpentry techniques and best practices.-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.-Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.-Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.-Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.-Valid drivers license and a driving record that is acceptable to our insurance carrier.Physical Requirements:-Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.-Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.-Must be able to safely work with hand tools and power equipment.-Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.-Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday-Friday with on call rotation.Qualified candidates submit a cover letter and resume to resume@aehr.org for consideration.
