Corporate Project Change Manager

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Change Manager to join our Corporate PMO department. This role will be responsible for working directly with key stakeholders and project teams to plan, monitor, and support integration of change management activities into project plans. The chosen candidate will focus changes within projects to business processes, systems and technology. The design of efficient and effective communications, work processes, as well as the pursuit of continuous improvement, including assessment of change management strategies, will be expected.

This position is posted in Boise, Hailey and Denver but, can work remotely from any location in the U.S. (Please note in the application where you prefer to be located).

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a Change Management strategy to integrate into our existing PM framework

  • Apply a structured methodology and lead project change management activities

  • Partner with Corporate Project Managers, Business Analysts, Training, and Corporate Communications to drive faster adoption, higher utilization, and increased benefits realization

  • Conduct change management readiness and stakeholder assessments to understand the current organizational landscape, potential challenges, and change drivers within assigned projects

  • Act as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor

  • Provide direct support and coaching to department managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions

  • Identify, analyze, prepare risk mitigation tactics

  • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of individual changes

  • Lead the execution of change management plans and strategies

  • Consult with and coach project teams in change management techniques

  • Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan.

  • Partner with our Corporate Communications team to support communication efforts

  • Partner with our Training team to support training efforts

  • Manage and support sponsors’ and stakeholders’ expectations

  • Track and report change related issues

Required Education/Experience:

  • BA or BS Degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, or Industrial / Organizational Psychology

  • 7+ years of experience in organizational change management program design / implementation

  • PROSCI and/or ACMP certification

  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process; experience with Prosci ADKAR Model is a plus.

  • Experience with large organizational change efforts. Professional Services experience a plus.

  • Change management certification or designation required. Prosci Certification a plus.

  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.

  • Exceptional communication skills – written, verbal and presentation skills. Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.

  • Excellent active listening skills.

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, including with c-suite leadership colleagues.

  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.

  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.

  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.

  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.

  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.

  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio).

  • Self-motivated with proven ability to work effectively both independently and in teams.

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

  • Solid organizational skills including quality, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.

  • Strong meeting facilitation skills, ability to structure change meetings to the attendees

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics F&O ERP, Customer Engagement, Project Operations

  • Familiarity with CAD/BIM design tools (AutoDesk/Bentley suites)

  • Previous experience in an innovation area of an organization, including but not limited to business process transformation, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Reality Capture technologies

POWER is a fun engineering firm. That might seem contradictory to some, but it works for us!

The pay range for this position is $125K-$135K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
