SUMMARY

The Credit Card Business Servicing Specialist I is responsible for the setup, onboarding, maintenance, research and escalated client support for the consumer and business Credit Card program. This role maintains excellent customer service by providing operational support and delivery to First Interstate Bank's credit card clients and the branch network. Individuals in this role require strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, while meeting completeness, turn time and accuracy requirements per established service level agreements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of business account maintenance.
  • Daily management of the consumer and small business application workflow within the required Service Level Agreements.
  • Performs requested file maintenance to credit card products
  • Act as a resource for Credit Card Customer Service team, branch personnel, and card clients. Quickly respond to and resolve their various questions, inquiries, and issues.
  • Deliver superior service and support to our card clients and branch personnel that reach out for assistance and guidance regarding consumer and small business credit card applications.
  • Participate in the building of a strong team environment.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with market delivery, cardholders, and specific vendors to support questions, application accuracy and reporting.
  • Responsible for maintaining operational integrity of credit cards through adherence to Bank's and department policies and procedures, in addition to all card related regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned and deemed necessary to meet the need of the business. This includes cross training of other operational functions to serve as backup support when necessary.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and four or more years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of general banking products required.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES

Proven experience delivering exemplary level of customer service in a professional environment. Proven ability to assess customer needs. Strong computer and technical skills required. Must possess advanced

Microsoft Office knowledge and experience, specifically Excel. Must have the ability to exhibit a positive and professional attitude, even in difficult situations. Ability to interact as a member of a team and to multitask in a fast-paced environment required. Must be flexible; a self-starter, possess strong problem-solving abilities; strong financial acumen and sound judgement.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively respond to questions from managers, employees and customers. Ability to write proper business correspondence. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Must be able to work with moderate mathematical concepts. Must be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, sit, and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
