ALTERNATIVES INC CULINARY ARTS PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR in BILLINGS, Montana

To be successful as a Culinary Arts Program (CAP) Instructor, an in-depth knowledge of teaching methods and an educational background is needed. Supervisory experience is preferred. It is imperative to have strong boundaries with residents and CAP students. Must haves: Associate degree Valid Drivers license Ability to pass federal workplace drug and alcohol testing. You will be joining an amazing team of kitchen professionals, led by an experienced Chef. The Chef has several years of experience working in various kitchens and has been with the Agency for over 2 years. Our Chef leads an experienced team including a Sous Chef and 3 Kitchen Coordinators. You will be joining a collaborative team of professionals who are role models for our residents and Culinary Arts Program participants. You will fit in great if you bring a professional demeanor and lead by setting an exemplary standard. What will you do in this position? As a Culinary Arts Program Instructor, you are primarily responsible for educational instruction of residents in the Culinary Arts Program (CAP). The person who fulfills this role should be passionate about teaching skills in the CAP program and working toward community reentry. You can expect to teach at least 15 hours/week in a classroom setting, enforce program rules and expectations, evaluate CAP participant progress, and coordinate with team members to collaborate on food program projects, catering, and other kitchen duties.
