What does a great Data Conversion Analyst do?
The Data Conversion team works directly with new clients to convert their existing credit card portfolios onto Fiserv processing platforms. The team, comprised of project managers, data analysts, and conversion programmers perform an initial review of a converting client’s data files, develop an extensive list of reports and utilize custom tools to analyze the data, develop technical specifications for converting the data, present the specifications to the client, write the conversion programs and processes, and assist with the testing/loading process. You will learn and use multiple Fiserv applications/products, work with new technologies (like EMV and digital payments) and develop relationships with many large financial institutions across the globe. We have a great team and are willing to provide on-the-job training, as needed!

As a Data Conversion Analyst, you can look forward to:
Technical data mapping analysis and delivering and executing conversion project milestones for the full project life cycle from initiation through project closure
Specific duties may include:
Designing and documenting complex technical requirements for business applications
Partnering with business analysts to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions
Creation of data conversion mapping specifications and/or programs (depending on analyst vs. programmer role)
Ensuring quality of data conversion suite including holding quality inspections
Validating offline System and Output testing of data conversion files and debugging complex code and processes
Planning and participating in mocks and other client events in conjunction with client and Fiserv partners
Building partnerships with clients, product owners, application development teams, and program management colleagues
Identification of risks and issues; managing and escalating appropriately & monitoring progress

Proven ability to manage and mitigate risks to project delivery
Ability to make information-based decisions
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
High school diploma required
5+ years of professional experience working in the financial services or credit card processing industry
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
4 Year College Degree in IT, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics, preferred
Previous IT or Business Analysis experience, preferred
Experience in a client-facing role with excellent communication skills
Understanding of the Issuing Industry and associated products
Experience in converting to new processing platforms, preferred
International business experience is a benefit
Conversion experience preferred
Experience in COBOL, Mainframe applications, IBM JCL, and TSO/TPX
Experience in testing and validation of output, reports, and financial balancing
Experience with and knowledge of Fiserv or Omaha Platform preferred
