MARKET BASKET DELI MANAGER in BILLINGS, Montana

Town and Country Supply Association is looking to hire a Deli Manager for our Market Basket location off Zoo Drive in Billings, MT. As the Deli Manager, you will supervise deli employees who are cooking, serving, packaging, and operating counters. As the Deli Manager, your duties would include but are not limited to: - Supervision of Deli employees in various duties such as cooking, serving, packaging, and operating counters. - Schedule and assign work for Deli associates daily. - Write and Post Deli schedule to ensure proper staffing. - Fill in and cover Deli shifts as necessary. - Operate and clean all food preparation machines and equipment. - Receive, unload and stock Deli items. - Ensure that the entire facility is maintained neat, clean, and safe. - Coordinate and communicate with the Store Manager to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our customers. - Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training Deli associates. - Provide training to Deli staff in company policies and sales guidelines. - Ensure Deli employees follow company policies and store rules. - Coach performance of Deli staff, to include administering corrective action if necessary. - Manage daily activities of Deli employees to improve sales performance. - Monitor Sales performance to make sure the Deli meets Margins. - Coordinate with the Store Manager and other administrative employees to operate the Deli to achieve sales goals. - Respond to queries and complaints from both Customers and Deli Staff - Interact politely with Customers, Vendors, Clients, and Employees while solving problems related to sales, service and issues regarding Deli and Store operation. - Develop sales promotion programs to attract more customers. - Manage product storage, maintenance, and rotation activities to avoid any damage or spoilage. - Ensure that products are properly labeled with price and date. - Monitor and maintain stock inventory to avoid over/under stock problems. - Conduct weekly inventory, Coordinate with Inventory specialist and correct discrepancies. - Assist Store Manager with end of month inventory. - Analyze profit and loss statements with Store Manager and recommend improvements to meet Deli Goals - Assist in the preparation of yearend inventory and sales budget. - Conduct weekly inventory, coordinate with inventory specialist and correct discrepancies. - Any other duties and assignments as needed to ensure a Clean, Safe, Professional, and Profitable Deli. Requirements: - Food service experience required. - Leadership experience required. - Must be reliable, flexible, and have reliable transportation. - Must be able to work closely in a team setting, while adhering to the standards set forth by the company. Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Can vary depending on scheduled events and/or needed coverage when staffing is short.)
