The main purpose and function of the Desktop Support Specialist position is to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop PC’s, peripherals, phones, printers, and data services.
Take initial IT Helpdesk inquiries and troubleshoot hardware, software, or network-related problems.
Respond to Helpdesk service requests in a timely manner.
Document Helpdesk troubleshooting procedures, operations manuals, and user guides.
Periodic reporting of Helpdesk performance to the Information Systems Manager.
Maintain, manage, troubleshoot, install and upgrade computer systems for performance and security related issues.
Provide end-user support for a variety of applications, both local and web-based.
Interact with all employees within the company.
Protect and ensure the stability of operating systems as well as maintain the integrity of the data they contain.
Other duties as assigned.
You must:
Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience preferred.
Communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Driver’s license required
One (1) to two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
One (1) to two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Windows preferred.
One (1) to two (2) years of experience using Microsoft Active Directory preferred.
One (1) to two (2) years of experience with basic Network LAN & WAN preferred.
One (1) to two (2) years of desktop and technical support experience preferred.
