Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to perform preventative and basic maintenance on company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will use computerized tools and equipment to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, ensuring our fleet operates smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all preventative and basic maintenance on company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using computerized tools and equipment.

  • Conduct scheduled maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating parts.

  • Disassemble and reassemble major components, including engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.

  • Keep detailed logs of equipment condition and work performed.

  • Assist in the yard when all maintenance work is completed.

Essential Skills

  • Experience as an auto technician or in a mechanical role.

  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

  • Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools and equipment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic working with trailers, large trucks, heavy equipment, or diesel engines.

  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card (company will pay if needed).

Work Environment

This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, as well as in the truck bay as needed to assist with repairs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr.
