St. John's Lutheran Ministries Director of Strategic Advancement - Full-Time 1st Shift in Billings, Montana

SUMMARY: Manages strategic initiatives of St. John’s United. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION: General * Direct, supervise and manage strategic initiatives as assigned by the CEO inclusive of planning, scheduling, and coordinate project activities to meet deadlines. * Works directly with internal teams and third party services such as design firms, trade contractors, construction managers, equipment suppliers, and other service providers. * Provides support to other departments including maintenance and operations in developing projects. * Develop or update detailed project business plans including information such as objectives, technologies, schedules, funding, and staffing. * Create project status presentations for delivery to CEO and/or stakeholders. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION: Communications * Represents St. John’s United positively and with affection in both personal and business relationships within community as it regards to operations and development of new capital projects. * To serve as a project manager representative to the CEO. * Engage and keep senior leadership informed about project progress. * Participate in Leadership Development Group (All St. John’s Supervisors) and communicate meeting takeaways to all participants present or absent. * Be present at Board Meetings (4th Tuesdays at 11 – 1pm) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: * Administration and Management — Knowledge of construction operations and planning, resource allocation, and coordination of resources preferred. * Building and Construction — Comfortable working and leading planning, design and construction trades. * Satisfactory criminal and driving background checks are required. TECHNICAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE PREFERRED: * Intermediate to advance knowledge of spreadsheet design and communication. * Public Speaking REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years’ experience in project management and development, or a similar position within a healthcare related setting. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
