Job Type: Full-time with overtime

Experience: 1 year preferred

Reports to: Aggregate Foreman, no supervisory responsibility

Wage: $25-$28 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary:

A Dozer Operator is responsible for operating dozers in sandpits and quaries stripping topsoil, overburdening, and pushing rock and sand. Take ownership of your role by completing pre and post-trip equipment inspections, servicing equipment maintaining courteous customer relations, and working with a team that feels like family.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate dozer in pits and quarries stripping topsoil, overburden, reclaiming and pushing rock and sand, and supporting reclaiming initiatives.

  • Operate the dozer safely and productively.

  • Complete pre and post-shift equipment inspection and other required paperwork.

  • Fuel, grease, maintain, and help service equipment.

  • Operate and maintain other equipment if needed.

  • Lift heavy objects as needed.

  • Assist in the field as a laborer (i.e. shoveling, raking, equipment set-up and tear down, cleaning equipment, etc.)

  • Team player mentality and eagerness to cross-train.

  • Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.

Position Requirements:

  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.

  • Mechanical background and skills.

  • Current MSHA certification.

  • Possess excellent communication skills and understand instructions in both written and verbal forms.

  • Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.

  • A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.

  • Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.

  • Overnight travel is not standard but may be required.
