This job is home-based position. We are hiring for our California, Oregon, Washington, Utah markets or any major metro area in the Western US.
Elavon is currently seeking an eCommerce Business Development Manager (will not manage a team) who will be a part of the Global eCommerce Sales Team. The eCommerce Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new revenue from eCommerce merchant acquiring opportunities with mid-market to enterprise-sized businesses.
This role is a combination of generated leads from Elavon Strategic Alliances and partnerships in assigned market, and self-generated leads. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Engage with product teams to help drive strategy
Build relationship with ISV’s and other referral sources to drive leads
Cross-selling eCommerce products and solutions into Elavon’s existing portfolio
Own the full sales cycle from lead to close
Develop profitable new business account relationships
Identify business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products and services;
Make sales presentations to existing and prospective clients;
Responding to RFP’s
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Five to seven years of product sales experience
Ability to travel
3 years of sales experience in the Payments Industry and Financial Services Industry
Passion for innovation, emerging technology
Experience selling eCommerce solutions in the merchant card industry
Experience in a client facing role selling and/or supporting complex enterprise software, technical or financial services
Experience selling in the mid-market or national space
Proven history of exceeding quota
Strong negotiation and decision-making skills
Strong consultative sales skills
Creative deal closer
Ability to understand complex requirements and devise customized solutions
Ability to build strong pipeline with profitable opportunities
Solve complex needs and work across internal teams including risk, operations, product etc.
Relevant network is a plus
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent marketing and business development/sales skills
