Trihydro Corporation Entry Geologist/Engineer/Scientist in Billings, Montana

Entry Geologist/Engineer/Scientist - Laramie, Cheyenne, Sheridan, Casper, WY, or Billings, MT   Trihydro, a mid-sized engineering and environmental consulting firm with a nationwide footprint, is seeking an entry-level geologist/engineer/scientist to join its team. This position will provide field and office support for clients within our Industrial, Commercial and Energy Business Unit. Responsibilities As an assistant staff geologist/engineer/scientist, you will be an integral part of our project team to provide field and office support for soil and groundwater characterization, remediation implementation, and regulatory compliance. You will support clients with spill response andcompliance programs, including both field and office activities. Office duties may include data management and analysis, quality assurance reviews, preparation of technical reports, and project management support. Field activities may include soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling; drilling oversight; Phase I and II site investigation field support; and remedial system construction, operation, and maintenance. It is anticipated that with time and experience, this position will lead to opportunities to assist Trihydro project managers across the country, to engage with clients and conduct business development, and to ultimately grow into an independent project manager capable of representing the best interests of Trihydro and our clients nationwide. This position is also responsible for administering health and safety programs at active industrial, commercial, and energy sites and communicating with project management and clients concerning site activity. The position requires work outdoors at job sites up to one to two weeks per month, with the busiest field season in the non-winter months. Position Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in geology, engineering, or environmental science 0-3 years of relevant work experience Problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic Fluency in Microsoft Word and Excel (familiarity with other Microsoft Office programs such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and affiliated applications is a bonus) Working toward, or interested in pursuing, a professional license The ability to develop effective, professional written and oral communication skills, including technical writing, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project team members Good employment or academic history with a commitment to safe work practices Initiative and motivation with an emphasis on completing high-quality project deliverables on schedule Dependable, with the ability to work reliably in teams as well as independently Ability to travel to client sites and other Trihydro offices A clean driving record Mechanical inclination Location This position will be based in one of our Wyoming or Montana offices, which provides ready access to multiple recreational opportunities.
