YELLOWSTONE COUNTY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II in BILLINGS, Montana
Yellowstone County Public Works is seeking an Equipment Operator II to operate heavy construction and maintenance equipment for County roadway construction, maintenance, and repair; does related work as required. Employee shall also furnish minimal hand tools (screwdriver, hammer, pliers, adjustable open-end wrench, socket set for tightening cutting edges, etc.) necessary for minor repairs and maintenance of equipment. Schedule: Monday - Thursday, Four (4) 10-hour shifts. Examples of Duties: - Operates heavy construction equipment such as motor patrol, front-end loader, backhoe, bulldozer and scraper to construct, maintain and repair county roads, roadway shoulders, culverts and bridges; - Compacts, spreads, sweeps, hauls and places materials on county roads, bridges and rights-of-way; - Attends meetings, conferences and workshops as requested and authorized; and - Performs related work as required. Minimum Qualifications: - Graduation from high school or equivalent; and - Minimum of three years' experience operating and maintaining construction equipment; or - Any equivalent combination of experience and training. - Commercial Driver's License Class A II with tanker endorsement minimum issued by the State of Montana.
