Event Planner – Advisory
This position is responsible for assisting in the planning, execution and operation of highly complex external client events. As part of the Forum planning team, this role will be dedicated to working on our annual Forum client event but will support other events as needed. This position includes pre-planning, on site, and post event activities, under the direction of the Manager, Forum Events. This opportunity requires strong communications, event marketing and organizational skills. You will manage and coordinate multiple and concurrent projects for various client contacts.
You will have an understanding of financial services, and will have experience in marketing event sponsor sales that will drive maximum revenue. This position requires coordination with the corporate marketing function, including business stakeholders and will collaborate closely with the leaders of key business units.
You will manage creation of the Forum client conference sponsor program, aligning with partners and overall event strategy to outline package elements and pricing, oversee the development of sponsor sales tools and registration system, and spearhead sales activity. Working with the planning team, the individual will be responsible for coordination of all pre-planning, on site and post-event logistics for each sponsor/exhibitor. In addition, the individual may interact with external conference organizers, as needed.
Serve on planning team to formulate overall program objectives, identify deliverables, develop and communicate timelines.
Participate in status and planning sessions, as assigned.
Function as the project manager for assignments.
Collaborate on event marketing project objectives and strategies, program content, and methods to evaluate overall event value to Fiserv.
Work closely with Enterprise Event Management team to ensure adherence to company objectives and brand guidelines.
Attend site planning meetings to prepare for program execution and briefing meetings to review program operation and find opportunities for improvement.
Assist developing event “briefing” to ensure comprehension of objectives and key metrics.
Supply creative solutions and fresh approaches to events to ensure value creation and positive return on investment.
Understand the target markets, products and services provided to Fiserv clients.
Provide feedback to enhance processes and drive efficiency.
Research and advise on exhibitor packages, marketing opportunities and develop comprehensive sponsorship prospectus.
Build and nurture sponsor relationships to keep Forum top of mind year round.
Manage project deliverables including sponsorship prospectus, exhibitor guidelines document and briefing materials, co-marketing toolkit, promotional emails, signage and app content, exhibitor presentations and booth requirements.
Collaborate with internal resources to manage deliverables and keep projects on track.
Provide assistance with all logistical details pertaining to event.
Prepare drafts of associate briefing document to ensure all participants understand roles and responsibilities.
Provide onsite event management support for function space set-up, registration, sponsor activity coordination, etc.
Collaborate with Alliance Partner Relationship Management Council to maintain and grow target sponsor contacts.
Handle the pre and post event communications plan.
Champion best practices and trends to ensure a quality meeting experience, while demonstrating efficiencies.
Accommodate the dynamic business needs that meetings and events create.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline, or 5 years of dynamic marketing experience
Prefer financial services industry experience
Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, Workfront, Silverpop and a strong general knowledge of business, marketing, and technology
