Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours (Exempt)

The Executive Director leads the Performance Improvement Office which is responsible for supporting the deployment of the organization’s strategic and operational plan and accelerating performance improvement and engagement at all levels of the organization. Facilitates the development of operational systems (standard work) and the implementation of evidenced-based tactics that achieve engagement and organizational outcomes. Participates in the executive leadership team meetings to guide and strengthen the alignment of work and effective performance management throughout the organization. The position is a high-level leader who can organize and synthesize complex research, methods, and processes across the organization to stimulate and sustain meaningful change and develop leaders to lead key initiatives throughout the organization.

Essential Job Functions

•Facilitates and guides Executive Team in distilling annual goals based on system level and business unit performance requirements. Develop and facilitate a process to prioritize and implement projects based on expected timelines. Actively works with Executive Sponsor of each project to ensure alignment and support for expected outcomes.

• Develops a comprehensive business case process to identify opportunities for performance improvement and facilitate decision-making process with Executive Team. Maintains approved project list and prioritize and connect interdependencies among projects. Ensures appropriate resources for major projects are identified, approved and monitor project status.

• Leads and manages 90-Day planning process to deploy goals and projects down to the front-line manager and staff. Links measurement of project performance to the scorecard and annual leadership assessment and evaluation process.

• Develops and maintains the enterprise-wide measurement and performance infrastructure to measure progress toward annual goals. Aggregates performance measurement from business unit and system sources to facilitate learning and accountability.

• Leads large cross-functional teams and projects to ensure integration of new business initiatives within processes and systems.

• Facilitates the development of operational and support infrastructure for complex organization projects that span across multiple departments and/or functions. Examples could include patient flow, clinical documentation, provider access, staff productivity etc.

• Provides project management and facilitation with operational leaders to achieve outcomes.

• Develops and maintains annual operational budget and measurement tools to monitor fiscal, productivity and quality indicators assuring that fiscal, human and physical resources are maximized.

• Ensures effective processes are in place to foster open lines of communications with leadership, physicians, and staff relating to organizational change.

• Creates communication tools to effectively translate priorities and engage leaders and staff in achieving annual performance goals.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Business or Healthcare Administration, or related degree.

• Preferred Graduate Degree Master of Business Administration or Healthcare Administration

Experience

• 5 years of successful experience in a leadership role focused on operations, change management, performance improvement practices and organizational goal development and implementation.

Certifications and Licenses

• MT Driver License at hire ability to be insured to operate organization vehicles.
