Operator will abide by company rules and regulations, including all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SQF practices, working with safety first.
This job consists of 4 10-hour shifts (subject to change to plant volumes or other business variables – overtime is needed per CBA provisions.) This person will be responsible for starting up the Q11 and performing all necessary operating duties as required. Other duties include CIP fillers, COP, tanks, and line washing are part of the job functions. May be called upon to work other functions within the department as needed. Hours are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 07:00 PM to 05:30 AM or until work is completed.
Qualifications:
Must be able to work in a humid environment; must be able to understand and use personal protective equipment, including but not limited to protective eyewear, aprons, rubber boots, and gloves. Must be comfortable working in a busy plant environment and be aware of other employees’ activities. Must understand how to disassemble piping, pumps, and other equipment to sanitize and clean, along with reassembly. Must always use safe working practices, including notifying management of potential or existing safety hazards. Will need to be able to work well with others and situational awareness of surroundings.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
Stand 8-12 hours per shift.
Possess a High School Diploma or GE Equivalent.
Turn and twist at waist level with moderate waist level bending.
Visually inspect and organize work areas.
Moderate lifting to 40 pounds
Be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
Have the ability to work alone or as part of a team and to exercise good independent judgement.
Be able to use simple math.
Observe all company safety rules and regulations.
Observe all company Good Manufacturing Practices.
Be able to perform these essential duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
