Reach for what you want and tell us why your work ethic and willingness to learn make you a natural fit for #TeamFirstInterstate.SUMMARYPerform requirements of the Home Loans Quality Control Program to discover errors and omissions with regards to single-family loans in order to provide accurate, effective and timely feedback to management concerning required improvements and provide accurate, effective, and timely service to the customer.Assist Home Loan Production management with compliance related issues as necessary.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following: other duties may be assigned.Quality ControlHave a working knowledge of the requirements outlined in the HUD Handbook, Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, FHLB, VA, and RD Sellers Guides governing Quality Control Plans and perform Quality Control reviews to ensure the following are adherence to:- Company policies and procedures- Investor requirements- Federal and State laws and regulations- Internal Revenue Code requirements- Mortgage Revenue Bond requirements- Insurer/Guarantor requirementsOn-Site Quality Control AuditsPerform on site reviews for adherence to policies and procedures to ensure all FHA guidelines outlined in the HUD Handbook are being complied.Compliance- Perform reviews to ensure the following compliance regulations are being adhered to: - TRID, Fair Housing Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collections Act, and other applicable federal and state laws and regulations.- Review files for flood insurance requirements as defined by the Biggert-Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act and the investor requirements.Other- Report results of Quality Control reviews to management personnel.- Maintain the Quality Control Program and make adjustments to the Plan as required by governing bodies as necessary.- Assist the Quality Control Manager with the Quality Control Program for home loan origination.- Assist in compliance-related efforts in the Home Loan Division. This will require a working knowledge of compliance regulations governing real estate lending.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) or (B.S.) from four-year college or university and two plus (2+) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience with mortgage underwriting and knowledge of investors' selling guides. Prior experience working with a third-party vendor required.Demonstrate a working knowledge of the mortgage servicing function, quality control for servicing, and compliance regulations as they relate to real estate lending. Advanced Excel knowledge required. The ability to prepare reports and memos. A background in compliance is preferred.OTHER SKILLSAbility to meet deadlines. Must be able to meet all requirements of the servicing and origination quality control plans accurately and timely. Ability to communicate with various levels of management, employees, and coworkers in a friendly and courteous manner.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
