Home Oxygen - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Full-Time (.75 or greater)
The incumbent in this position is responsible for patient/client/client assessment and matching the proper and most efficacious equipment (DME) to meet the needs of all home care patient/clients/clients who are referred to the home oxygen and durable medical equipment service. Consults with physicians, nurses, and members of the health care team regarding patient/client/client related care, sales and services as needed. Provides patient/client/client assessment and care. Assesses the home environment and the patient/client’s ability to deal with the specific equipment used and train them accordingly. Effectively implements therapies and applies equipment knowledge for any given scenario to meet patient/client/client needs. Responsible for documentation of all therapy, training, and follow up performed.
Graduate of an AMA approved school for Respiratory Care
Minimum registry-eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care (must achieve RRT credential within six (6) months of the date of hire)
Certified in Basic Life Support
Current Montana RCP license
Prior home care and DME experience, preferred
Montana commercial drivers license and hazardous materials endorsement with good driving record and insurability required; required for Billings Home Oxygen only; Livingston Home Oxygen services do not require this.
Successful completion of DOT physical required; required for Billings Home Oxygen only; Livingston Home Oxygen services do not require this.
Member of the AARC (American Association for Respiratory Care) and MSRC (Montana Society for Respiratory Care), preferred
