Billings Clinic Hospitalist in Billings, Montana

Billings Clinic, a Billings, MT based multi-specialty clinic is seeking a Hospitalist. Responsibilities include: Examines, diagnoses, and treats hospitalized patients 18 years and above. The types of patients include medically complex from Chest pain (NSTemi A Non-ST-Elevation Myocardial infarction is a type of heart attack, often referred to as NSTEMI) heart failure, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, dialysis, oncology, septic, stroke, TIA (subdural hematomas, A transient ischemic attack TIA is a stroke that lasts only a few minutes.) DKA (Diabetic ketoacidosis is a serious complication of diabetes that can be life-threatening. DKA is most common amount people with type 1 diabetes. People with Type 2 diabetes can also develop DAA). Suicide attempts, alcohol withdrawal, infectious diseases and orthopedic hip fractures, to name a few. In general, the patients tend to have multiple diseases, and are higher in acuity. Seeing patients in the ER, following them during their hospital stay, and organizing post-acute care. Orders treatments, tests, and consults with specialty physicians and primary care physician where appropriate. Requirements: Graduation from an approved medical school. An internal medicine or family medicine residency is required. Presently licensed in the State of Montana as a physician or eligible to receive a license.
