Employment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater)

Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours

Starting Wage DOE: $51.00 - $59.45

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BSPharm required. Pharm.D. preferred with residency training

National Pharmacy Certifications preferred

The following are the core job duties for this position:

Clinically reviews and verifies prescriptions and medication orders as prescribed by authorized providers to determine the safety and appropriateness for the specific patient; contacts authorized providers as necessary with clinical interventions

Assigns, educates, and supervises the work of pharmacy technicians in the preparation of medications for dispensing and in related duties.

Educates and counsels patients on current drug therapy and antiemetics. Identifies patients who require teaching, and provides educational material. Also works collaboratively with other health care providers to assure coordination of the provision of patient education.

Ensures maintenance of an inventory of medication and pharmacy supplies and related records. Ensures that storage of medications and supplies is in compliance with federal and state regulations.
