BILLINGS SCHOOL DISTRICT 2 INSTRUCTIONAL IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST 6-8 in BILLINGS, Montana

Billings School District 2 is seeking a Instructional Improvement Specialist 6-8 for the 2024-2025 School Year. Qualifications: - Requires a current Montana Educator License with an endorsement in Elementary. - Valid Montana Teaching Certificate - Bachelor's degree in Education - Successful teaching experience Performance Responsibilities (may include but not limited to the following): - Evidence of knowledge of research-based math and reading best practices - Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and building administrator to coordinate both classroom instruction and invention - Utilize student data to inform instructional decisions and track the effectiveness of interventions - Work with school leadership to establish data-driven goals and assess progress towards academic benchmarks. - Analyze assessment results to identify trends and implement strategies for continuous improvement. - Working knowledge of Multi-tiered Systems of Support Model and progress monitoring cycle - Working knowledge of the scope and sequence of 6-8 ELA and math with a focus on the critical areas and concepts - Communicate and document students' progress to parents and school staff - Participates in grade level Professional Learning Community Meetings at all grade levels - Collaborate with teachers to enhance instructional strategies, curriculum implementation, and assessment practices. - Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching effectiveness. - Design and deliver professional development sessions based on identified needs and best practices.
