BILLINGS SCHOOL DISTRICT 2 INSTRUCTIONAL IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST K-5 in BILLINGS, Montana
Billings School District 2 is seeking a Instructional Improvement Specialist K-5 for the 2024-2025 School Year. Qualifications: - Requires a current Montana Educator License with an endorsement in Elementary. - Valid Montana Teaching Certificate - Bachelor's degree in Education - Successful teaching experience Performance Responsibilities (may include but not limited to the following): - Evidence of knowledge of research-based math and reading best practices - Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and building administrator to coordinate both classroom instruction and invention - Utilize student data to inform instructional decisions and track the effectiveness of interventions - Work with school leadership to establish data-driven goals and assess progress towards academic benchmarks. - Analyze assessment results to identify trends and implement strategies for continuous improvement. - Working knowledge of Multi-tiered Systems of Support Model and progress monitoring cycle - Working knowledge of the scope and sequence of K-5 reading and math with a focus on the critical areas and concepts - Communicate and document students? progress to parents and school staff - Participates in grade level Professional Learning Community Meetings at all grade levels - Collaborate with teachers to enhance instructional strategies, curriculum implementation, and assessment practices. - Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching effectiveness. - Design and deliver professional development sessions based on identified needs and best practices. Training needed: K-2 ECRI or CORE summer training June 3 - 4 or Aug. 20 - 21. If you can't come to that, August 30 and one other day and 3-5 training June 6 or August 19 if you can't attend then Sept. 25th trade days and step up. Equal Opportunity Employer.
