Billings Clinic Interventional Cardiologist in Billings, Montana
Billings Clinic, a Billings, MT based multi-specialty clinic is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist. Responsibilities include: Treat a range of heart and vascular conditions using interventional techniques. Use appropriate medical skill to insert a catheter in one of the patient’s major blood vessels. Thread instruments through the patient’s body using the catheter to the problem area, guiding the instruments through the use of real-time x-rays on the forms of imaging. Perform appropriate cardiology procedures on the patient such as balloon angioplasty, opening a patient’s blocked artery by inflating a tiny balloon, and insertion of stents, if required. Select appropriate stents. Repair heart valves via the catheterization process. Implant miniature pacemakers or defibrillators.Minimum requirements: Graduate of approved medical school, successful completion of a residency in internal medicine; along with a fellowship in cardiology or cardiovascular disease, and an additional fellowship in interventional cardiology are required. Must be board-certified or eligible for board certification within one year of employment in interventional cardiology. Board certified in internal medicine, and cardiology or cardiovascular disease.
