Candidates must hold a master’s degree or higher in education. We seek a candidate who shares our commitment to serving diverse student populations, inclusive education, effective practices in teaching (including integration of appropriate technology), and culturally sustaining/revitalizing pedagogy. A successful candidate can teach online and face-to-face courses across a variety of programs. Candidates should also offer evidence of the capacity to engage with colleagues in collaborative work.Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills•A master’s degree or higher in Education.•A minimum of three years P-12 public school teaching.•Knowledge of Common Core Standards.•Potential for excellence in university teaching.•The capacity to engage with colleagues in collaborative work.•Experience or interest in online teaching.•Knowledge and experience in teaching math.Preferred Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills•Evidence of exemplary teaching at the university level in online and face to face formats.•Evidence of an understanding of course and program design principles.•Experience working with a diverse range of adult and young adult learners.•Demonstrated excellence in supervisory work with teacher candidates.•Record or potential of scholarly activity.Responding to a plea from Montana citizens for an institution of higher education in central or eastern Montana, Eastern Montana State Normal School, was established March 12, 1927. Now, Montana State University Billings’ College of Education is recognized as the regional leader in the preparation of Literacy Specialists and Special Education teachers. The Educator Preparation Program at Montana State University Billings is accredited by the Montana State Board of Public Education and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) for the preparation of elementary and secondary teachers through the Bachelor’s degree and school counseling Master’s degree.
