A local not-for-profit corporation that provides residential supervision and treatment programs seeks a License Addictions Counselor.* BS in Human Services or related field. * Montana State Licensed Addictions Counselor certification, certifiable within one year, certified in another state which is transferable, or Nationally Certified. * Good writing and verbal skills and the ability to type 40 words per minute. * Must have experience and demonstrated ability in records management. * Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office programs.* A current, valid Montana Driver's License.PREFERRED:* Operation of audio visual equipment. * Working experience in local corrections. * Knowledge of local treatment referral agencies.* Grant writing and public relations experience.DUTIES:* Review client files to assess chemical dependency evaluation needs.* Facilitate treatment groups utilizing the agency approved models and ensure compliance with group rules. * Complete all necessary chemical dependency assessments and make recommendations regarding Chemical Dependency issues and referrals, as well as assist others who are in the process of licensure in performing these duties.* Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions regarding Chemical Dependency issues.* Facilitate other groups and programming, such as cognitive behavioral programming, parenting, anger management and others, as specifically trained. * Conduct Minor-in-Possession group if requested. * Make referrals to a variety of social services and medical resources.* Attend all meetings as assigned.* Other duties HOURS: Vary - Employer will discussWAGE: The current starting salary for the position is $23.50 per hour, although consideration will be given the successful candidate's experience and educational background.BENEFITS: Full benefit package
