Your day.

As an MRI Tech, you need to know how to:

Perform MRI procedures in order to obtain desired imaging results according to physician's specifications that includes, but is not limited to, transferring patients for examinations, and assisting with the MRI examination process.

Be responsible for appropriate operation of all MRI Imaging and related equipment.

Appropriately educate, position, immobilize and perform MRI procedures.

Coordinate MRI examination to ensure timeliness, quality and continuity of patient care.

Understand and follow provider Imaging orders correctly.

Submit required images and related clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation.

Appropriately evaluate image quality.

Provide open, accurate, and responsive communication to patients, coworkers, Radiologists and leadership.

Appropriately utilize, charge and maintain department supplies.

Practice sterile technique and follow infection prevention policies.

Be able to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.

Safely perform MRI procedures including patient transfer.

Prepare and administer contrast according to Radiologist protocol.

Ensure safety in the Magnetic field and assist in Magnet Safety education.

Your experience.

Current Registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Current advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire

Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire
