Supervises and ensures continuous improvement of all clinical practices, services and operations by designing and implementing systems, processes and methods to evaluate and improve patient care within the unit. Manages day-to-day activities of the unit(s); monitors quality service and utilization standards; supervises shift(s) activities and delivery of patient care. Manages the critical care unit(s) day- to- day clinical operations including practice standards, staffing, payroll, budgets, fiscal management, and quality improvement. Works with other leaders, as a team, to help ensure best in practice, and evidence-based care is provided to all critical care patients throughout the campus and system.Essential Job Functions* Develops and oversees department cost centers to ensure adherence to organizational mission, vision, values, strategic goals, and business strategies. Interprets and supports the mission and philosophy of Billings Clinic. Responsible for promotion of, and adherence to, the elements of Billings Clinic's Code of Business Conduct and corporate compliance program. * In collaboration with physician leadership and other medical staff, administration, and other health care providers, develops and implements short and long range plans, and leads, develops and revises programs which enhance department services.* Develops, implements and maintains a service delivery model for the area accountability* Develops and maintains community relationships as it relates to the continuum of care* Participates in the development of patient care delivery models and/or care programs, nursing policies and procedures that describe how patient care needs and/or patient populations receiving nursing care are assessed, evaluated and met.* Participates in the development and implementation of Billings Clinic's plans for providing nursing care to patients.
