Operator Trainers provide high quality technical support, training and warranty claim processing for allParts and Services (MRS) Division and Rock Drilling Tools (RDT) Divisionrelated products and services. They achieve growth initiatives by focusing on improved customer satisfaction through effective communication and partnership with the goal to achieve best service provider status among all current and prospective customers.
The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. Noise protection is required in this role. Successful candidates must be able to sit for extended periods if needed, use hands to feel, reach with hands and arms and possess verbal communication and hearing capabilities.This position is considered Safety Sensitive.
Responsible for supporting MRS Service Centers, Business Lines, Sales Organization,Product Companies, Product Support Technicians, Dealer Partners and end usersfor all MR product lines, warranty & technical support
Develop and promote technical support of the MRS business to ensure customersatisfaction with Epiroc capital equipment
Provide high quality service, safety and operational training on all Epiroc MRS andRDT Division products and services as requested for operators, mechanics and othercustomer/Epiroc employees
Participate in the creation, documentation and implementation of operationsand maintenance training to assist service centers, dealers and customers to achieve increased levels of efficiency and productivity
Utilize Epiroc published documentation wherever applicable in order to present aconsistent and repeatable message to customers, aligned with the Epiroc globaltraining standard strategy
Facilitate Capital Equipment and RDT testing, to maximize product longevity for thecustomer and deliver product as needed
Maintain Epiroc Superior Standards through training and mentoring of all localEpiroc personnel with a focus on technicians work in partnership with all Epirocgroups and customers to sustain product
Communicate all relevant product, technical service and training activities andwork in partnership with all Epiroc groups and customers to sustain productintegrity
Prepare necessary information as requested whether routine or for specialoccasions, while maintaining alignment with Epiroc Technical Information Services(TIS) documentation
Work to understand and utilize information and communication systems and tools,i.e. e-mail, DocMine, SAP, BPCS, Microsoft Office software, etc.
Act on behalf of peer group members in their absence as and when called upon to do so by either design or circumstance
Verify that the correct responsible departments are involved in the development ofprocedures to ensure that all US Customer Center (US CC) business process andtechnical support activities are performed in accordance with Epiroc published
documentation standards
In support of organization structure and efficiency, identify incoming requests thatshould be routed to other departments and collaborate on a seamless process toachieve the handoff
Ensure competence development throughout the organization on product,technical and business process and administrative activities
Provide technical and administrative support to meet warranty recovery andrequirement goals
Drive product operational feedback up to the responsible Divisions through the useof Epiroc reporting systems such as WOL, ACIGN, personal communication andproduct counsel mediums
Manage, coach, train and lead employees in a fashion that is consistent with ourcompany's culture and management philosophy
Organize, document, and maintain procedures for all Technical and BusinessOperations Support
Continually improve the capabilities of the front line service technicians to developthem to be self-sufficient in problem solving scenarios
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mining etc.) is preferred; equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Credentialed technical abilities or ability to achieve Epiroc credentials; pretesting may be part of the selection process
Five years' minimum of related work experience in the mining or heavy equipment industries
Demonstrated competence with industrial/commercial fluid power and low voltage electrical control systems
Working knowledge of diesel engines and rotary screw compressors
High level understanding of the various material extraction (mining) processes as well as application knowledge of drilling, excavating and material handling associated with the above-mentioned processes
An advanced understanding of the control and navigation systems used on Epiroc and other OEM equipment
Must possess an active, valid driver's license
Maintain required US Department of Labor (MSHA), Safe Start and OSHA Training Certificates, or agree to complete the training program(s) needed to acquire the Training Certificates
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills; technical writing ability is required to provide documentation of events that allow accurate reenactment by stakeholders, not directly involved, to have a complete understanding of the event or events in order to apply technical or engineering support to prevent incident reoccurrence and improve the product for future use
Intermediate level of computer proficiency (MS Office)
Ability to work within a team, or independently as needed and be a self-starter
Travel is expected, amount will be dependent on employee location relative to the US service centers, dealers and customer locations, with both driving and air as the primary modes, through mainly the domestic US with potential for some international travel
Residence or relocation to the Billings, MT area is required

Pay Range:
$90,250 - $119,052 (Salary determination based upon job related factors, such as experience, education, geographic locationand other criterion)
