Interstate Power Systems Inc Parts Manager in Billings, Montana

The Parts Manager is a key member of our management team and fulfills a critical role in our operations. This position is responsible for overall accountability for managing a parts department covering internal and outside sales, developing our parts business, ensuring satisfied customers, and promoting our products and services.

Parts Manager Job Duties:

  • Take all necessary steps to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, hire, lead, motivate and maintain the highest quality staff.
  • Take an active role in company sales.
  • Monitor Parts Department performance with key metrics, including revenue, profitability, and efficiency.
  • Communicate policies, procedures, and branch goals to employees.
  • Uphold our promise to our customers.
  • Monitor Parts Department performance and adjust as required to achieve company metrics
  • Participate in the setting of goals and objectives annually
  • Review customer pricing and suggest pricing strategy
  • Assure proper inventory levels
  • Accurately quote and sell Parts
  • Manage back counter, front counter and outside parts sales
  • Communicate policies, procedures, and branch goals to employees
  • Uphold our promise to our customers of "Pride in Service"

Parts Manager Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Clear understanding of customer service, sales, and marketing
  • Must be a resourceful person, with a never give up attitude
  • Possesses technical knowledge to assist customers and employees as needed
  • Knowledge of profit and loss statements and how to use them to manage a business unit
  • A self-starter who can observe the strengths present in a location and use those strengths to develop a positive business plan

Parts Manager Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage employees and processes.
  • Truck shop service management a plus
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions.
