Compensation: $25.52 + additional wage increases based upon achieving specific competencies

Production Relief Operators perform job duties within the manufacturing environment to provide relief for planned (vacation, break) and unexpected absences to ensure the continual production of product. This is a regular, full-time position, working at least 40 hours a week.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor equipment on the production line
  • Ensure that the proper materials are used for each product being produced
  • Complete all required documentation and quality checks
  • Record and document all production runs, downtime, weights, code dates, and label verifications
  • Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks on equipment in both manual and automated capacities
  • Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
  • Maintain communication with other departments, supervisor, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's
  • Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
  • Must be able to push, pull, stand, walk, climb, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to be able to work in a wet environment
  • May have some exposure to dust, fumes and cleaning chemicals
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
