Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Sales Project Manager that will focus on plumbing, piping and boiler related heating products and installations for large scale Commercial projects throughout Montana and Northern Wyoming. Daily responsibilities include customer and vendor interface, monitoring project deadlines and ensuring deliverables are met, pulling data for submittals, making product recommendations, suggesting and communicating product changes including pricing adjustments and furnishing O&M’s. While our ideal candidate will be based out of our Billings, MT office, this role has the flexibility to be alternatively based out of our Bozeman or Missoula, MT offices. This position also offers the possibility of remote work flexibility once trained, but requires the incumbent to have ability to easily travel to job sites throughout Montana and Northern Wyoming, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget

  • Recommend products and services that fit well with client’s project needs

  • Identify, develop and gather the resources to complete the project

  • Establish and maintain effective sales relationships with major accounts/customers

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local and national vendors/suppliers

  • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems and minimize delays

  • Work directly with partners and clients to determine project scope, specifications, requirements and perform calculations

  • Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team

  • Responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of supplies, materials and equipment

  • Provide a high level of assistance to program/project managers to ensure projects are carried out according to plan

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of plumbing, piping or construction related industry or product experience required

  • Prior experience in an industry related Sales Project Management or Project Coordinator role preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree is a plus

  • Prior use of Bidtracer or similar Commercial Project Estimation software a plus

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Access, etc.)

  • Demonstrated relationship building, customer service and interpersonal skills required

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Must be self motivated, autonomous, well organized and detail-oriented

  • Must posses excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize work

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, customers, vendors and contractors

  • Demonstrated ability to manage details and accurately meet the deliverables of multiple requests, while maintaining oversight of long term project requirements

  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, possess multitasking skills, including the ability to juggle multiple, urgent requests
