The Retail Experience Transformation Business Intelligence Team (RXT BI) is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer. This team is a critical part of the Retail Contact Center's performance strategy. In this role, you will lead a reporting and analytics team responsible for performing a multitude of tasks. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer and their team, understand the member and associate experience, they are on the frontlines with stakeholders, working to develop modern analytic strategies that can adapt with ever-changing business needs. They are providing actionable insights derived from a number of data sources to help inform the business to make the best decisions for our members and associates. This role will oversee the team strategy and performance to deliver meaningful outcomes.

The Senior Consumer Experience Professional may leverage voice of the customer, NPSt, root cause, telling the story, call listening, member experience design, elimination and recognition of friction points, identifying automation/optimization opportunities, empower others in the organization to speak up and voice opportunities to improve the member experience. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Responsibilities

  • This role will lead and develop a team of professionals, analysts and engineers who support a variety of jobs including (but not limited to) experience observation, issue validation, ad hoc report creation, performance monitoring, vendor communication and insight generation.

  • This role will leverage numerous types of data, business intuition and cross functional partnerships to identify and develop captivating, actionable business insights.

  • This role will facilitate CBAs, project measurement, member experience and other analytic stories and is comfortable presenting findings to executive leadership.

  • The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer is curious and optimistic about solutions.

  • The role can make decisions and change approach based on business need with limited direction.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent related work experience

  • 2+ years leadership experience

  • 5+ years of technical experience in data analysis

  • 5+ years' experience with SQL and PL/SQL

  • 5+ years' experience in SSIS and SSRS development

  • 5 or more years of consumer operations experience

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Programs including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud computing

  • Demonstrated experience creating reporting tools in Power BI

  • Ability to interpret assignments and understand department strategy

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Experience making decisions and working independently with little supervision

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

  • Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction

  • Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data

  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership

  • Proven ability developing analytic strategies for teams, departments, segments, or organizations

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or Greencard holder to be considered for this potion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

  • Experience using Power Automate and PowerApps

  • Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling

  • Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

Work at Home/Remote Requirements

  • Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings

  • Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite, wireless and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required

Additional Information

While it is not common for this team to work in-person, there are times when project work or department trainings or initiatives may require some level in-office meetings. This role also requires up to 20% travel, which may include both domestic and international.

  • Humana will require associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work

  • The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home
