Humana is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer for the Market Segment areas to provide analytical expertise at both high and granular levels. This role will require strong communication and analytical skills and the desire to collaborate daily with Clinical Pharmacy Leads. You will present findings to market representatives on segment specific utilization, data trends, launch day tracking and segment growth initiatives.
The successful candidate will describe tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information
In this position you will make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments with limited timeframes.
Key Role Responsibilities:
Partner with Group Medicare Services - manage RFP incoming work, provides insights, growth strategy initiatives and ad hoc requests
Solve complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to and consult with decision-makers
Utilizes data to create insightful and actionable business information Be responsible for understanding the customers' needs and pulling together the appropriate data/analysis to meet those needs
Develop and maintain key relationships with multiple business areas
Review and analyze results, assisting other business areas with issue resolution
Communicating high level summary results to business owners and leadership
Developing and improving processes and documentation to support best practices
Standard automation as well as open-ended process innovation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5 or more years of data analytics experience OR Master's Degree with 3 years of experience
Advanced skills in SQL and SAS
Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors
