SUMMARY
The Senior Business Relationship Manager will be a liaison between the Business and the Prioritization Committee, effectively consulting, educating, facilitating, and communicating to all stakeholders in the proposal process from intake to project approval. The role will provide knowledge and transparency of the intake and business case development process and of all proposals within the process to the Business and will work closely with functional leaders, subject matter experts and IT. The position is responsible for interfacing with key stakeholders to understand needs and wants while translating those needs into business case information to help understand strategic alignment, value, resource and cost needs of the project. This role is also responsible for fostering a relationship with the Business Unit leads to understand their short and long terms project needs and to be a liaison to the Prioritization Committee and the Project Management Office.

The Senior Business Relationship Manager will work with Operations, IT, Finance, Client Experience and resource managers to ensure Business needs are well understood, business cases are well defined, and impacts are well understood.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned.

Partner with the Business to create and maintain a sound understanding of their needs in the short and long term and promote an understanding of the process to ensure business cases are fully developed and in alignment with our Strategic Plan.

Facilitate the discussions with the Business to fully understand their project request and ensure expectations are managed on the Intake and Prioritization Committee process and the full project lifecycle.

Serve as the single point of contact for our business partners, the ITBRM team, and the PMO on proposals of high priority throughout the planning, sizing, and project hand-off to the PMO.

Create visibility, set and manage expectations, and clearly communicate to the Business and Prioritization Committee details of the proposals in all stages: proposal intake, Prioritization Committee review and decision making, to the Project Management hand-off. Facilitating effective conversations with business partners, stakeholders, and Prioritization Committee to ensure all stakeholders expectations are well managed.

Develop with the business partners a complete and sound business case. Facilitates the gathering of all applicable business information on current and future state, problem statement, high-level business requirements, identifying high-level resource and technology needs, ensuring the strategic alignment and value is documented, and assisting with the business partners readiness to present the Prioritization Committee.

Partner with the business and resource managers to review sizing efforts for reasonableness and cost effectiveness of the proposed solutions.

Engages cross functional groups across the company to lead conversations and align needs with solutions. Facilitates meetings to ensure relationships are strengthened and effective outcomes are attained.

Manage the proposals in the PWA system to ensure that visibility to these proposals are maintained and reporting is accurate.

Partner with Finance and the Project Management Office to ensure all project costs and related expenses, including Technology costs and Professional Services, are clearly understood. Identify with Finance the actual budget amount to ensure transparency in approved project spend vs. budget.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; and at least three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.

OTHER SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Effective with Microsoft Applications, ability to facilitate conversations with all levels in the organization, ability to present complex topics to various audiences in an understandable way, conflict management skills, effective communication skills written and verbal, ability to analyze ROI type information, effective task management with deadlines, and displays strategic and critical thinking skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial
reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries of complaints of customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write
speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference,
and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
