Shaker/All Dry Folder /Floor Worker - Shaking out and laying out linens in preparation for flatwork ironer. To sort linens into proper categories, to ready for further production. Hand folding of linens for deliveries. Run the linen through a small piece folder and blankets through a blanket folder for the Cart Assembly Tech to load.
This position will:
• To alert Production Supervisor or General Manager of any potential safety hazards with equipment being operated or in immediate work area.
• Shake and prepare various linens for finishing.
• Inspect linens and separate those requiring stain removals to maintain quality standards.
• Hand fold linens, as needed for deliveries.
• Put finished linens on shelves or racks.
• Help in other production areas as necessary.
• Immediate area maintained.
1. Dust off tables and shelves daily.
2. Put linen away at the end of your time in an area.
3. Maintain production speed of standards set to meet the needs of facilities.
4. Other duties as required.
• Rewash carts dated and put in soiled linen area for reprocessing.
• "Speci al" items returned to hospitals, as soon as possible.
• Learn to work in all areas on floor and sorting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education/Experience:
• Ability to read and write, and do addition and subtraction required.
• Ability to follow and give oral instructions as required.
• One week on the job training to familiarize with routine.
Compensation:
$15/hour
Additional Notes:
Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening
TB test and Hep B series shots required
